I doubt I will ever butcher a hog but I have done a lot of different stuff over the years. Restaurants, car sales, Limousines and so on.

In 1987 after exiting the Navy I was in need of a job. My parents steered me towards a friend of theirs who had a small remodeling company. I knew which end of the nail was the pointy end and that was good enough to get a job in construction.

It’s now 37 years later and I have done a lot of construction work. A LOT!

Back in the winter of 2000 I had an opportunity to work with a friend on a post and beam barn. Once I got into it I was hooked! The history geek in me could not resist the old school construction method. I have been fascinated by it ever since and in 2015 (give or take) the Old Lyme Barn Company was born.

Since then, we were doing one barn a year suplimented by other, more conventional, construction work.

Gradually we grew into a full time operation and I look forward to meeting you and making your dream a reality.

I would be remiss not to mention that the “WE” I refer to is me and my two sons, Tyler and Jeff. I am a very lucky man.
